Iberia Gold Ltd. (“Iberia”)
Formerly Iberia Legal Ltd., is a Cayman Islands company incorporated on June 7, 2010 to provide legal and intermediary financial and consulting services to financial institutions. In October 2024, Iberia was restructured to provide holding company and gold custodial services to high net worth clients and to serve as a gold, real estate and other asset backed token issuer. The initial assets onboarded to Iberia in October 2024 amounted to USD 5 billion in real estate and physical gold assets.
The sole principal of Iberia is Dr. Wilton McDonald II whose biography is set out below:
dr. Wilton G. McDonald II formed Iberia Gold Ltd. in 2010.
He has over 30 years of governmental, public accounting and senior legal experience. Prior to forming Iberia he spent over 10 years working at large Cayman based law firms focusing on setting up complex structures, hedge funds, private equity trusts and trusts for family offices, institutional and high net worth clients. He was also employed as a senior accountant at KPMG in the Cayman Islands.
Dr. McDonald currently resides in Cayman and is a frequent visitor to Portugal and Poland.
